Luanne Mauro-Atkinson
Luanne Mauro-Atkinson has an extensive background in education, health, and human services. She has a BS in Biology, a BA in Psychology, and an MA in Human Development. She retired in 2017 after 23 years as an administrator for the Long Beach Unified School District Head Start program. Additionally, Luanne has more than 23 years teaching at the college level in the areas of science, child development, psychology, and special education. She is a grant writer, and a grant reviewer for the Federal government. Her other career experiences include crisis counselor, ESL instructor, service coordinator for disabled adults, and school health coordinator. When she is not working or volunteering, Luanne enjoys traveling, swimming, and spending time with her six grandchildren.
